  • The sponsorship of early intervention therapy intensives for Canadian families

  • To increase inclusivity toward people living with disabilities

Meet Our WARRIORS

These faces are our “why”. When you support Hope for Cerebral Palsy, we help remove the financial barriers that prevent many families from accessing private, life-changing therapies for cerebral palsy.

Our Vision

Hope for Cerebral Palsy was founded by Dr. Alisha Rai and her husband, Liam Rainey. The charity was created to enrich and support the lives of children living with cerebral palsy and their families - by providing access to private, early intervention therapies so they can achieve their full potential.

We invite you to watch this short video about their personal journey as a family, and their mission to help others.

In the Media

The story behind Hope For Cerebral Palsy was recently featured by Global News Calgary.

Reporter Joelle Tomlinson gets up close and personal with the our founders in this moving segment, which really captures the strength and resiliency of our community and of our warriors.

Why the Dandelion?

Dandelions can often be seen alongside roadways, neighbourhood lawns and emerging through cracks in the sidewalk. This speaks to their ability to survive even in the most difficult conditions. Dandelions also have a way of conjuring up joyful childhood memories of making a wish.  The dandelion’s persistence and resilience truly represents the hearts of our young warriors - thriving and playful, even in the face of adversity.

Hope For Cerebral Palsy, together with Experience Church, proudly hosted Calgary’s FIRST Night to Shine this year - a global prom experience for ALL with special needs. We’re counting down to next year!
